About CricketShala
Cricket, Experience & Everything Around the Game
Welcome to CricketShala - a place for cricket enthusiasts, young cricketers, parents, and anyone who enjoys learning more about the game and the lifestyle around it.
I'm Rakesh Singh Shekhawat, a software engineer by profession and a passionate cricket enthusiast. I play corporate cricket, follow the game closely, and enjoy watching and analysing cricket, from what happens on the field to the training, equipment, habits, and lifestyle that surround the game.
CricketShala is my personal project where I share my experiences, observations, thoughts, research, and knowledge about cricket.
My Connection with Cricket
My interest in cricket goes beyond simply watching the game. I play corporate cricket myself and enjoy understanding the technical, tactical, and practical aspects of the sport.
My son has also been playing competitive cricket for several years. Being closely involved in his cricket journey has given me the opportunity to experience many aspects of a young cricketer's life like training, equipment, practice, fitness, recovery, tournaments, travel, and the many decisions that players and parents make along the way.
This has also led me to explore a broader question:
What can make a cricketer's life better, easier, and more enjoyable?
That question is one of the reasons CricketShala exists.

How CricketShala Content Is Created
Some articles on CricketShala are based on my own experience and observations. Others involve research from multiple sources.
I also use AI tools as part of the content creation process. AI may help with research, brainstorming, structuring, or drafting an article, but every article is reviewed and proofread manually before publication.
Images and graphics may be created or edited using AI tools, Canva, and Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator. These tools allow me to create original visuals and illustrations that complement the content.
The final responsibility for the content published on CricketShala remains with me.
Exploring Cricket Products & Lifestyle
One of the areas I am particularly interested in is the cricket lifestyle - the products and tools that players use before, during, and after the game.
Through CricketShala, I am exploring products that can genuinely be useful to cricketers, whether related to equipment, training, skincare, grooming, travel, recovery, or everyday cricket life.
Over time, I may recommend selected products, use affiliate links, or offer products directly through CricketShala.
Where there is a commercial relationship, I will make that clear. My objective is to build recommendations around usefulness and practical value, rather than simply promoting products.
Why CricketShala?
Cricket is much more than the few hours spent on the field.
For a young cricketer, it involves practice, equipment, fitness, recovery, travel, tournaments, preparation, and developing the right habits.
For parents, it can involve a completely different set of questions - what equipment to buy, how to prepare for tournaments, what products are useful, and how to support a child's cricket journey.
I've found myself asking many of these questions as a player, a cricket enthusiast, and a parent.
CricketShala is where I document what I learn and share it with others who have the same interest in the game.
A Note from Rakesh
CricketShala is a personal project built from my love for cricket and my curiosity about everything around it.
Some things I write about come from personal experience. Some come from research. Some are observations developed from watching and following the game.
I believe in being transparent about how the content is created and in continuously improving it as I learn more.
If CricketShala can help a young cricketer learn something new, help a parent make a better decision, or help someone discover something useful for their cricket journey, then the effort behind it is worthwhile.
Keep playing. Keep learning. Keep enjoying cricket.
